During the 3rd quarter, I do not incorporate a lot of math like I will during the 4th quarter. We did work with dimensions when creating tables. It is hard for the students to remember what the numbers mean so we worked on remembering that the first number is columns and the second is the number of rows needed to create the table. Students began to understand the importance of figuring the dimennsions of a table before creating it.
We worked on setting goals again with a new group of students. I think it is very important for students to set goals. The reflection piece that we did is also important because the students are able to think about how they did in achieving their goals. Students are very honest when reflecting on their goals.
